About FuelFacts
A nutrition reference, deliberately not a diet site.
Why this exists
Looking up the calories in an ordinary food should take five seconds and should not require an account, an app download, or scrolling past someone's story about their grandmother. It also should not come with instructions about what you ought to eat.
FuelFacts publishes the USDA's reference nutrition data for 1799 foods — per 100 g and per real serving — and stops there. What you do with the numbers is your business.
What you will not find here
No meal plans, no "superfoods", no claims that any food cures or causes anything, and no supplement affiliate links. Nutrition facts are facts; nutrition advice is a regulated profession and I am not in it.
Who runs it
Built and maintained by Amit Sharma, a marketer in Auckland, New Zealand, as one of a small set of free data tools at amit.marketing. The sister sites cover calories burned by activity and flight times.
How it is funded
Google AdSense, plus links to my own fitness challenge, PeakForm. No food brand has ever paid for a placement here, and no nutrient value has ever been adjusted for any reason.
